G-Twist Vibe

G-Twist Vibe
The first full day of football season provided an ideal time for toy testing, since I'm not a fan -- and my partner is. I just wish I had a better report on this product.  Alas, the one received for review was inoperable. I tried several different sets of batteries in every permutation to no avail. Therefore, this review will simply deal with the product as a dildo as opposed to a vibrator. I will assume that the strength of the vibration is similar (if not identical) to another Fun Factory product, The Boss, which I reviewed here some time ago.

The G-Twist is like The Boss in terms of its battery compartment and controls. I seriously dislike this aspect of its design. Not only is it confusing (and completely lacking "How To" instructions), it is physically difficult to open. If you have any impairment in finger/grip strength, forget about it!

It's longer and girthier than it appears in the pictures, but not uncomfortably so with appropriate lubrication.

Where the G-Twist differs is its ridges. While I didn't really care for the little ones along its length, the bigger, clit-bumping ridge certainly hits the sweet spot. There's enough flexibility in the silicone shaft to bend it to provide dual stimulation -- inside and out. It would've been nice to do so with vibration, but... oh, well.

Until next time...

peace and passion,

Here's what Good Vibrations has to say:
This Good Vibes staff-designed toy embodies a virtual wish list of nearly all the vibrator features we love. It's got a G-spot curve; substantial-yet-subtle texture along the shaft; a strategically placed clit ridge; water-resistant design; a top-quality, velvety smooth silicone body; reliable, quiet motor and a convenient ergonomic dial at the base to control the variable-speed vibrations. And oh yeah, it's one good-looking toy.
  • 6 long, 1 1/2 in diameter.
  • Uses two AA batteries (included).
  • Now available in Black and Raspberry, as well as our classic colors Dark blue, Purple, Baby blue, or Candy Pink.
  • Volume: 2; Intensity: 3.
  • Care and Cleaning: This nonporous vibrator can be washed with a mild soap and water. It can be immersed in water for ease of cleaning, but be careful to keep the battery compartment closed and dry.

InfraRed Massager (CalEx)

InfraRed Massager (CalEx)Not exactly sure how to tell whether this Hitachi wannabe from California Exotic Novelties is truly infrared, or if it's just lit with LEDs behind a red plastic cover like my car's brake lights. But, really, until there's a solid reason to care, it doesn't matter. This is a nice product that does indeed give Hitachi's Magic Wand a run for its money.

The "InfraRed Electric Massager" has two speeds (high/low) which correspond to the inverse low/high heat. High heat is not all that hot, incidentally. Just noticeably warmer than low. One side of the bulbous head lights & heats, while the other hosts one of the 5 massage attachments. I tried each for actual massage of stiff/sore muscles, where they performed admirably, and I tried a couple of them for pleasure purposes. However, I much preferred the heated side over the attachments for stimulation of my sensitive pink parts.

The power cord is identical in length (6') to the Hitachi, which is the next best thing to cordless/rechargeable, and it's sized comparably. The vibration strength isn't quite as powerful as its famous cousin, but it gets the job done -- and it's a wee bit quieter.

So, all in all, I'd give this puppy two thumbs up. If it were significantly cheaper than a Hitachi, I'd be really impressed.

Until next time...

MIA

MiaAbout twice the size of a standard lipstick, this little USB-rechargeable number is a delightfully discreet and surprisingly powerful multi-speed vibrator from LELO. It's attractively packaged, making it an ideal gift for a friend, and the pink model is currently on sale for less than half price ($29.99) at Babeland -- so you can grab one for yourself as well.

It looks like a big flash drive when charging on my laptop (rather than a pleasure tool). I counted four intensities of vibration, accessed by successively pressing the "+" pad, followed by three pulsing speeds. It's volume is about the same as a bullet vibe, but it has considerably more oomph (and none of those annoying button batteries). I can even charge it in my car 'cause I have one of those USB power converter gadgets.

I'm not typically a fan of small, clitoral vibrators -- preferring either (a) more powerful vibration a la Hitachi or (b) penetration a la Delight -- but the little MIA combines so many convenient features that I think it will remain in my purse for those need-to-come-now emergencies. :)

Until next time...

peace & passion,

The manufacturer's site says:
MIA is a discreet pleasure object carefully designed to combine versatility and convenience, intended for private enjoyment at all times. This elegant lipstick vibrator nestles seductively in your handbag, her size and chargeability making her available whenever needed, whether on a long intercontinental flight or during a break on a busy day. Glossy and attractive, MIA's intuitive interface and four stimulation modes allow total control in the midst of ecstasy. She is rechargeable and a 2-hour charge provides up to 4 hours of bliss. Comes presented in an elegant gift box, accessorised with extension cord for USB charging, manual and a 1-year LELO warranty.
And here's what Babeland has to say:

Make room in your laptop bag for the Mia, a powerful lipstick-sized vibrator that can charge directly from your computer thanks to its USB extension. Mia holds a charge for four hours, making it one of the most travel-friendly toys we’ve seen. Mia’s proof that small scale doesn’t mean skimping on features, elegance, or performance. The faceted, lipstick-sized shell comes swathed in body-friendly silicone, making it a breeze to clean, and features four vibration modes to choose from. A USB extension cord is also included, so you can hide Mia discreetly while charging. Stash Mia in your bag, purse or pocket and pleasure is sure to follow wherever you go. Made by Lelo.

Weatherproof (brand) USB Massager

USB MassagerIt's kinda unfair to review a product when I can't find a link for its purchase, but *shrug* I picked up this little number on a whim at the Charm City Fetish Fair, and I gotta tell ya, it's a keeper. Two speeds (high & low), not too loud, plugs into computer's USB port. There are nubbies on the (curved) long underside as well as on the end, so it functions well with point-on-clit or nestled between the labia.

I wish I could find a link, 'cause I think this is full of win for cyberers.

Until next time...

Gold Digger Vibe

Gold Digger VibeMr. Marcus Gold Digger Vibrator

I will say right now that on receiving this vibe to review I had no idea who Mr. Marcus was, or what his association with Doc Johnson is, seeing as how her name is attached to this product as well. A Google search quickly rectified things, as I discovered Mr. Marcus is an adult film actor. I'll hazard a guess that an adult film actor doesn't truly graduate to "porn star" until he or she has a line of sex toys. Normally one would think their private parts are cast with plaster to mass manufacture dildos and sleeves in some Asian factory, but the Gold Digger has the look of a simple vibe, presumably for beginners.

There are two varieties of the Gold Digger (for some reason I can't get Shirley Bassey's singing voice out of my head, so bear with me): a four-inch and a 6.5-inch. I was given the latter, marked on the package as "Big Daddy's Favorite." Whether Big Daddy prefers to use this on himself or others is not specified, but it is definitely not modeled realistically on any part of any daddy. The black surface is all smooth and soft to the touch—not hard plastic but not quite the squishy silicone I'm used to, either. If you recall my review last year of the Grapevine Vibe, you'll know the texture is the same. As for actual gold, there isn't any—the base of the toy is bejeweled with a bit of "bling" which, though it would look pretty while standing the vibe upright on a table or something—doesn't really do much for the toy's performance. Babeland describes this toy as:
Get your bling on—with minimal investment—thanks to the luxe-looking, super affordable Gold Digger vibrator. Classy golden jewels stud the bottom of the waterproof, velvety plastic shell, and gentle vibrations purr through the variable-speed dial, making this diva-pleaser just as handy for the clit as it is for penetration. Please use a condom for insertion to keep your jewels sitting pretty.
  • Size: 6” x 1-1/4”
  • Material: Hard plastic
  • Volume: 2 out of 5
  • Intensity: 2 out of 5
  • Batteries: Two AA
Batteries are not included, and neither are condoms. I will take issue with the volume rating on this toy because when I did turn it on, I thought it was quite loud for it ssize. Compared to the whisper-buzz of the Grapevine, the Gold Digger sounded like it actually was drilling the ground, even at a low speed.

For penetration, the Gold Digger does offer some satisfaction. The curvature seemed to fit well, providing a nice friction when used. Clitoral stimulation took a bit longer than my usual bullet, but the vibrating sensation inside didn't feel uncomfortable or jarring, inside or out. This having a "velvet"-style exterior, it should definitely be cleaned well after use.

Given its size and price ($20), the Gold Digger would make a good first vibrator for sex toy newbs, or a travel toy for anyone who doesn't want to pack the heavier stuff.

The Boss

The BossThe Boss was awaiting my return from the Romantic Times BookLovers Convention in Orlando. Great, I thought! A Fun Factory exclusive from Babeland. An orgasmic win-win!

The first thing I noticed was that it was packaged in a Babeland box with ZERO instructions on how to open the battery compartment and insert the AA batteries. Fail. I had to go to the Fun Factory website, find a similar product, and download its PDF user guide in order to figure it out -- because it is NOT obvious. For a high-end ($58) product, that's damned near unforgivable.

I got over that annoyance and moved on to the fun part...

Given its girth, I tested this toy along with Sliquid Organics Silk (reviewed separately).

The Boss I received is black & grey, not the (seemingly) requisite sex-toy-purple. It's a bit longer AND girthier than I gathered from the photos. Perhaps a visual is in order. See how it stacks up to my Hitachi? The Boss is a big pleasure puppy. I've known guys this big, but they're few & far between (and quite often lousy lovers, thinking their impressive equipment is all they need to please a partner). It's heavy, too. The shaft is silicone and somewhat floppy--kinda like an 80% erection. It'll go in without bending, but there's more flexibility there than with a raging boner.

The end cap is rigid with a knob that turns to adjust the strength of the vibration. It's not easy to manipulate when slippery-wet, but it's not likely to be changed unintentionally, either. Even at its highest setting, the vibration is nothing to write home about, but coupled with the aforementioned girthiness, it gets the job done in relatively short order.

As a g-spot toy, I didn't appreciate it. I found that I enjoyed The Boss externally as much as, perhaps more than, inserted. The vibrations, while strongest at the base of the shaft, are well conducted throughout its length. Thus, I was able to stimulate myself from bow to stern without even moving the toy. It wasn't easy to grip this way, especially when lubed, but movement wasn't absolutely necessary to be effective.

Until next time...

peace & passion,

You tell him, Dan!

Was directed to this advice column (emphasis mine) via a Babeland tweet:

Buzz Kill
January 22, 2009
By Dan Savage
I love the wife I married two years ago, but she absolutely can't come unless she uses a vibrator on herself. She's asked me to let her use it during sex or for me to use it on her, but I've refused. It's bad enough knowing I can't compete with that thing without having to look at it.

Let's Insert My Prick
Yeah, yeah, LIMP, you can't compete. Like a lot of other men, you've fallen in love with a woman who needs intense, focused stimulation in order to come, the kind of sensation that hands, fingers, tongues, and cocks just can't provide—a woman who requires a vibrator. Now let's take a little time to grieve, shall we?

Time's up.

Now stop being such a douchebag about this, LIMP, and go ask the wife to show you just how to hold the vibrator and just where to apply pressure so that you—YOU!—can start giving her orgasms during sex. See the vibrator as a tool, moron, not a threat. If you love your wife and want her to stay married to you, LIMP, get on the proverbial stick. Because if being with you means going without orgasms during sex for the rest of her life—all because she was foolish enough to marry an insecure bag of slop who refuses to do what needs to be done to get her off—then your wife just might decide to be with someone else.

And now an important message for all straight guys everywhere: Some women need vibrators to get off. Why? Well, perhaps it has something to do with the fact that most of a woman's clitoral tissues are inside her body; the exposed part of her clitoris is just the tip, comparable to the head of your penis. Now imagine if the shaft of your penis were buried inside your body, guys. You might need the help of a vibrator to get off then, too; you might need a tool that could stimulate your shaft through layers of skin and muscle and fat. We've been over and over this since the early 1990s, fellas, and there's no excuse anymore for freaking out about your wife/girlfriend/mom needing a vibrator, okay?

Isis

Emotional Bliss :: IsisI appreciate an impressively-packaged product, and the Isis from Emotional Bliss certainly qualifies. When I saw the box, I thought I'd been shipped the wrong vibrator, because an itty bitty finger vibe couldn't possibly need such a big box. In truth, the box is at least twice the size it needs to be. But it's nifty, and it makes you feel like you're getting more for your money. Still, it's wasteful. See how wishy-washy I am on this matter?

Inside was the Isis vibe (a rechargeable fingertip number), three sizes of interchangeable finger clips, (from the teeny pinkie-sized to the "one-for-the-thumb" Steelers variety) the charging adapter, two 30ml bottles of lubricant (one water-based, one silicone), and a very entertaining instruction booklet. The booklet claims that the 80Hz at which the Isis vibrates is the "proven frequency to stimulate orgasm." I found this most amusing, for some inexplicable reason. The website further clarifies: "80Hz - the speed suggested to be the most likely to stimulate orgasms in women aged 18-30" (recommending its big sister, the Chandra, for women over 30 because it vibrates at 110Hz). Well, I'm 45, so I'm not quite sure whether my word should be trusted on the efficacy of this product. After all, I'm a decade and a half past the target orgasm demographic.

Now, according to a Medscape article touting the benefits of "vibration anesthesia" *eek* prior to BoTox injections, the Hitachi Magic Wand works at 5,000 or 6,000 vibrations per minute (83 Hz or 100 Hz), and I can assure you that the Isis doesn't feel anywhere NEAR as powerful. I can also assure you that my Hitachi has only anesthetized me in terms of a post-orgasmic rush of oxytocin bliss. YMMV. This intrepid researcher is of the opinion that it's the amplitude, rather than the frequency, that makes a toy super extra special. The Isis buzzes like a bullet vibe, which is about all a reasonable person can expect from a motor that size. (FYI: Of the smallest products, I think the We-vibe has the strongest vibration.)

The website claims: It is practically silent and is fully rechargeable so it can run for 2-3 hours – plenty of time to reach that ultimate orgasm. I'm sorry, but I don't know anyone who has the time OR the energy to masturbate for 2-3 hours in search of an orgasm. Maybe I'm greedy, but if a toy hasn't gotten me off within 20 minutes, I'm calling in the artillery (under the command of General Hitachi).

The lubes aren't anything worth writing home about. They claim to be tasteless. While they weren't (to me), they also weren't repulsive.

IsisBottom line? If you can get off with a bullet vibe solo, then you can get off with the Isis solo. However, what's neat about the Isis is that it's rechargeable. I cannot stand those button batteries, and I primarily avoid bullet vibes for that reason. And, it's got that nifty finger clip which makes playing with lube sooooooo much easier. Ever try to hang on to a slippery bullet vibe? It's a challenge.

Partner play, however, is where the Isis can really shine. Super convenient, easy to power on or off, won't get in the way or interrupt the flow of the action. It just provides that extra little boost of stimulation to add to the excitement.

Until next time,

peace & passion,

Dynamic Duo

Dynamic DuoA Toys for Tarts guest review:

From the first sight, I knew this wasn’t just an ordinary bullet duo. It’s cool green clear plastic controller with the two silver bullets has one thinking “alien probes” and all the fun those thoughts inspire. Loading up the toy with batteries, I dialed on the controller and the bullet leaped to command, a fun powerful vibration which had it dancing across my hand, bed and my partner’s chest. It sent a shiver of excitement through me as my partner dangled the bullet by the cord and watched it dance around my nipples. He then had the other sliding down to my pussy and had me squirming all over from the powerful vibrations. With one in my pussy and one swirling around my nipples, I was soon moaning in pleasure. The controller goes from a powerful vibe to a clit numbing sensation. The dial controls don’t give you a pulse option but the power is there to stimulate. This isn't a device you can use to wear to the office because the buzzing could have someone wondering what is happening.

~ One Lusty Wench

Here's what Babeland has to say about the Dynamic Duo:

Fighting with your partner over who gets to go first? Can’t decide whether you like a throbbing pulse or a rapid buzz? The Dynamic Duo swoops in and saves the day: separate variable-speed control dials mean you can tickle two erogenous zones at the same time, thrill to two different levels of sensation, or get off at the same time as your partner. And separate jacks mean the 37-1/2” cords stretch further, making it even easier to hit just the right spots.

Hitachi Magic Wand

Hitachi Magic Wand
Heaven. Absolute heaven.

It's been my pleasure to review the Hitachi Magic Wand.

When I first removed the toy from the box, I was surprised at the seemingly innocent appearance and at the solid weight of the product. No cheap issue, this. It is in fact a marvelous deep muscle massager, easily able to deliver powerful but soothing vibrations to the entire body. The wand guarantees a relaxed recipient, whether you've been driving a moving van for thirty hours or building sets for a middle school play.

Phthalate free, it's a foot long instrument, twelve solid phallic-shaped inches loaded with teeth-clenching vibrations. The head is soft and flexible and measures 7 ½ inches around, slightly smaller than a tennis ball. There is a six foot power cord, 110-120 volts, with two settings. It is the strongest vibrator I've ever used.

After plugging it in and turning it to the highest setting, I applied the wand to the back of my neck, and then slipped it down between my shoulder blades. The relief was immediate, and it felt as if my entire body unclenched. I followed this up by testing it on my calves, my thighs, and even the soles of my feet. The vibrations tickled my feet but my leg muscles sighed with pleasure.

Undaunted and intrigued, and with growing sexual thoughts, I placed the buzzing head directly against my tender nipples. Zing! It was startling but absolutely amazing. I would have thought that the vibrations were too powerful to be enjoyed sexually but as it turns out, I was quite mistaken.

With a grin I centered the vibrating tool against my jean-clad crotch. Wow. The pleasurable sensations were acute and quickly traveled from navel to kneecaps. Thinking I should begin this sort of play at the lower setting I tried to turn the wand down. That's when I realized it was already on the lowest setting. It could only go higher. So I turned it up.

That was quickly followed by a bone-rattling, chair-gripping, seeing stars climax. Wow. It was a good thing no one else was home at the time.

Well, since the first test was such a success, ahem, my next thoughts were about variety and further experimentation. So, later that night my partner and I took the wand from the living room to the bedroom.

We started with teasing and body massage techniques. He loved it as much as I did and the groans from muscle relaxation soon gave way to sexual moans and sighs. It was certainly not too powerful on my sensitive bits, especially after arousal, but I can see where direct application may be too much for some.

We tried different positions and variations, but eventually settled for the tried and true rear entry. I held the wand easily in one hand, pressed it to myself and once we were engaged my partner felt the vibrations nearly as forcefully as I did. He is now a serious fan of vibrating toys.

We've since discovered there is an attachment that can be purchased for the wand called the Gee Whiz. It snaps on and allows users to focus on clitoris or G-spot. Delicious.

The Hitachi Magic Wand is an orgasm producer, no question. And as a matter of fact, our wand is still plugged in.

I highly recommend it and look forward to further playtime, I mean, experimentation.

Here's what Babeland, who graciously provided the product for review, had to say:

Known as "the Cadillac of Vibrators" and perhaps the world's most popular vibrating sex toy. Similar in look and feel to the Acuvibe, its strong vibration makes it an unfailing friend in masturbation, and its symmetrical shape makes it a natural for partnered, face-to-face fun. For penetration options, check out the Gee Whiz and the Deluxe G-spotter attachments. Runs on 110v power, cord is 6'1". Two speeds, spongy head; or replace with Off With Your Head. Hitachi is one of the Babeland All Stars!

    We-vibe

We-vibeThere are so many ways this little, purple pleaser can be used that a conscientious toy reviewer could spend months trying (and re-trying) them in order to present the intrepid, orgasm-seeking consumer with a comprehensive evaluation. Eventually, however, the review simply must be written so that the products piling up in the corner, patiently awaiting their turn, can have their chance at my... well, you know.

If Toys for Tarts' review doesn't answer all your burning questions, please leave a comment. We'll do our bestest to answer or at least point you in the direction of the answer. Realize, of course, that any questions might result in this reviewer disappearing for days (or weeks) in order to thoroughly research *ahem* the answer. There are also other reviews--out there in the jungles of cyberspace--to peruse. Clean Sheets, for example, posted his-n-hers critiques.

Okay, so it looks like a cross between new-age salad tongs and a mouth guard. (I like funky stuff.) What you can't tell from the photographs (and the We-vibe website has lots of them from all angles) is that its surface is SOFT and that its neck is really flexible.

The We-vibe is primarily designed to be used during penetrative vaginal sex--be that with human or inanimate object or some combination of the two. The (slightly) smaller end is inserted, while the larger end rests against the clitoris. It stays put quite well in all positions tested--especially missionary & on all fours--even with lots of lubrication (be it the natural variety or the type that comes from the industrial-sized pump dispenser on your nightstand). [REMINDER: Don't use silicone lubes with silicone toys.] Takes a We-bit (*snerk* Aren't I punny?) more coordination when on top, but once you put your quarter in the slot and your bronco starts bucking, you're good for the duration of the ride.

It's rechargeable, which means that even though it's purple (visually), it's green (environmentally). That purple is like a thick, silicone wet suit (appropriately) for the moving parts. Two vibrating nodes. One in each end. Two stronger-than-typical-bullet-vibe, quieter-than-typical-bullet-vibe nodes.

The single, 3-position, high-off-low toggle switch (which controls both ends) is hidden beneath that sheath, too. There are just a couple, cute little dimples on the clit end to indicate its location. You have to feel around for it, but--just like you have to feel around for a g-spot--you'll know when you find it. Trust me.

We-vibeSame for the power jack. Another dimple, just below the power dimples. A tiny slit of a nose to their rounder eyes. At first I was hesitant to "pierce" the purple with the plug, but it plunged right in there and sealed right back up when withdrawn. Nifty!

The instructions say it cannot be overcharged and recommend keeping it plugged in so it'll have a full charge whenever you're ready to play. In testing, a single charge lasted long enough to accomplish its mission in three separate, lengthy experiments before showing any signs of fatigue. (That's more than I can say for most partners I've known.)

We-vibeThe storage case looks so much like a typical eyeglass case in size and shape that no one would give it a second glance if you left it on your kitchen counter--not that I expect to be using it in the kitchen, mind you. (On second thought, my kitchen island does look rather inviting.)

So, in the final analysis, is this purple pleasure puppy worth its hefty price tag? Yeah, I think so. If you give it a try, please let us know what YOU think!

    Until next time...

    peace & passion,

Here's what EdenFantasys has to say:

This unique discreet vibrator is crafted in premium silicone and designed for hands-free pleasure. Rechargeable and phthalate-free, the body friendly material and powerful vibrations will arouse and delight.

Two vibrating nodes purr simultaneously at low or high speed on each end of this sex toy. The We-vibe has a compact body about the size of a playing card, with ribbed textures on the inside to stimulate. The tip with the control button in it rests on the clitoris, while the thinner tip slides inside the vagina to massage the G-spot.br>
A thin jack simply slides into a small hole in the front to recharge the We-vibe. Two dimples beside the charging port accent the internal power switch, which can be moved left for high speed and right for low. High speed is moderately quiet, while low speed is very quiet, making this a great toy for a little discreet fun.br>
Your We-vibe unit comes with a black and purple hinged case and a charging plug. It should be used only with water based lubricants, and can not be submerged in water. Only the thinner tip should be inserted.

    SaSi

SaSiSex toys just keep getting better and better, and Je Joue's SaSi is top-of-the-line luxury. It's the Lamborghini of non-human clitoral stimulation, combining vibration with a tongue-like "nub" that remembers what you like.

    EdenFantasys says:

According to studies some women more likely get aroused from massaging finger-like motion than from vibration. SaSi is a new approach to female pleasure that implement motion instead of plain vibration.

    • Massaging ball enveloped in soft silicone makes circle movements over desired area imitating finger movements.

    • Massager delivers 11 motion patterns, which can be arranged in the sequence you like.

    • Motion and vibration speeds can be increased. You can program SaSi entering your favorite patterns in its memory.

    • SaSi is rechargeable. The full charge takes 45 minutes and lasts 1 hour 15 minutes.

    • SaSi comes with charger, 4 adapters for USA, EU, Australia and UK, storage bag and instructional booklet.

    • We strongly recommend reading instructions prior first use to learn about SaSi's abilities and enjoy this wonderful product at its fullest.

    And Babeland says:
Just like a real partner, SaSi vibrator is capable of giving a different experience every time, and like a good partner, it will learn and remember the movements you like best. A smooth, rounded massage head undulates under a thin, silky cover, creating a soft kneading sensation that can be completely customized by adjusting movement type, speed, and vibration. Pleasure Tops

Pleasure TopsPleasure TopsUndoubtedly hoping to capture some of the more frugal shoppers coveting the more expensive (and, apparently, much more effective) Cone, this Doc Johnson product leaves a lot to be desired. I do applaud the manufacturer's move toward phthalate-free products with this silicone toy, though.

It's cute and soft and pink, and it certainly sounded as if it would deliver a nice vibration from its two AAA batteries, but the tactile reality didn't live up to its auditory promise.

While I could straddle it without difficulty, I'm very flexible. If you can't do a side split comfortably, don't purchase this toy intending to lower yourself onto it like you're riding a partner. You'll be seriously disappointed. Invest a bit more in a Rock Chick or suction a Woody to one of those big exercise balls if you want to ride. Those toys offer greater flexibility. There's just not a helluva lot of options with this little pink puppy.

However, if you're limber and can get off easily with an average bullet vibe, this might be a good choice for you.

    Until next time...

    peace & passion,

Here's what Babeland has to say:

Pleasure TopsStraddle the cone-shaped body of the Pleasure Top vibe and your hands are free to seek other pleasures! Slide down the shaft—the lower you go, the greater the pressure and sensation from two vibrators located in the shaft and spout, allowing you to build depth, width, vibration sensation and pressure on the clit or perineum. Tilt toward the spout for maximum effect or try it on your back or belly first in order to discover how your body responds best. The Pleasure Tops is waterproof, phthalate-free and cushy enough to respond to a PC squeeze. Both vibrators controlled by one multi-speed dial.

    Delight

My partner took one look at this cordless, rechargeable, silicone & plastic Fun Factory product and dubbed it Shamu. And judging from the--Wait for it!--whale of a good time I had testing it, I'd have to agree. Shamu, it is.

The fact that I got all hot & bothered merely doing a Google image search for a picture of its namesake is an indicator of this toy's effectiveness. I now have a fetish for marine mammals thanks to this product. It is--by far--the most effective dual-stimulating g-spot/clitoral vibrator I've tested TO DATE. (Yes, toy vendors/manufacturers, that IS a gauntlet.)

The design is ingenious, the curves perfectly formed. Every push pulls and every pull pushes. It's like an orgasmic teeter-totter without the splinters.

The storage case/charger is discreet enough to leave on your nightstand (or coffee table) without drawing attention. The toy itself is very aesthetically pleasing, and if your toddler happens to snatch (no pun intended) it and plunk it on the dinner table along with GI John and Caribou Barbie, no one will bat an eyelash.

The controls--lit by glowing red LEDs--are easily visible in the dark and positioned such that they're readily accessible without being prone to inadvertent change. There are multiple levels of vibration. I counted 9 levels of steady vibrations and 3 pulsing speeds, and it's relatively quiet-ish. I really couldn't hear it over my whale-song modulating moaning. *eep* I noticed no power loss during a prolonged dive, either.

I believe I just had a mini-gasm simply thinking about this toy in conjunction with anal sex. Yeah, it's expensive... but, great-killer-marine-mammals Batman!, it's worth every wet cent.

    Until next time...

    peace & passion,

    Silicone Water Wand

Silicone Water WandA Toys for Tarts guest review:

This is a small, extremely quiet, classically-shaped vibrator. Four and a half inches long, two and a half inches in circumference with the jelly sheath on, it’s rather like a slightly enlarged, cordless bullet. It’s amazingly quiet, which is wonderful for use in the tub, where the water will magnify the slightest sound. For all its diminutive size, it packs quite a strong vibrational punch at its top speed.

The motor is surprisingly strong for one which takes only one AA battery, and of course, the fewer batteries we use, the more savings in both cash and for the environment! The ribbing on the sheath does add some extra zing when the vibe is inserted, and the head is small enough that the motor can make it vibrate along with the rest of the toy.

It’s as waterproof as advertised—despite some fairly extensive submersion, no water got in to the battery compartment. In addition, the jelly sheath fits tightly enough that no water got underneath it, which can be a pain come clean-up time. With the sheath on, the toy is wide enough to put the ribbed sheath in contact with all those lovely nerves in the first inch or so of the pussy. This is not a toy for stretching you out or going deep, but it’s a charming little bathtime accessory.

If I could change one thing about this toy, it would be the speed dial. It’s rather stiff even when dry and next to impossible to change speeds when both your hands and the toy are wet. I wound up removing it, grabbing it with a towel and cranking it up to high speed and then reinserting it, which is a bit of a mood-breaker. With a good waterproof or paperback book of erotica, however, this little vibe will assure a lot of wet fun!

    Grapevine Vibe

Grapevine VibeA Toys for Tarts guest review:

Watches and sunglasses. Used to be I could never own either, because some misfortune always befell either object I possessed. Watchbands broke within weeks, hinge pins on sunglasses loosened and disappeared in the carpet, higher end models either were stolen or mislaid at restaurants. As an adult I added bullet vibes to that list, which has left me distraught. For a desired, lasting orgasm, a bullet has been the only toy for me, and finding the RIGHT toy has been a challenge. I've have bullets short out within a week of use, not work at all once I got them home, and even crack after use. Don't ask me how, it's not like I'm riding a mechanical bull while it's in use. It frustrates me that science can build better, faster, strong technology yet attention to the orgasmic arts lingers in a pre-Renaissance.

So it was with some interest that I decided to test the Grapevine Vibe, a cute and aptly-named little number. Here's how Babeland describes it:

Why put something cold and hard on your delicate bits when you can stroke them with the silky-smooth, waterproof Grapevine Vibe? A tiny microbullet buzzes powerfully (but quietly) and comes encased in a velvety, smooth plastic that will have you tipping your cup in no time! Find out why it garnered rave reviews from our staff. Variable speed.

Why cold, indeed? Though I hadn't before minded the touch of chilled plastic against my delicate bit (in some ways, it enhances the pleasure), the idea of a covered bullet intrigued me. And waterproof to boot, something I hadn't thought to look for in a bullet since I didn't think it possible. This could well eliminate the need for a bullet and a waterproof BOB.

But does it work? Oh, yes. The actual bullet is not large - I'd say no longer the average human finger from tip to second knuckle - so not one I'd recommend for insertion unless you have a supplemental toy that uses bullets. The four-speed button panel is wonderful - no more fiddling with dials or sliding switches to find the right intensity. Level one is nice mild buzz against the skin, good for a lingering build-up to the level two medium pace. Three and four...gives all new meaning to the "quickie", though personally they are not speeds I use often for sensitivity reasons.

As for the quiet test, it passes easily. At its lowest speed under a comforter I didn't detect too much, so if you're the type who brings toys along when visiting relatives you should be fine with this one. ;)

If I had to issue a caveat about the Grapevine Vibe, it would be to take special care when cleaning. Because it is not exposed plastic like other bullets, you might not be as vigilant in clean as you would with a silicone toy. Of course, all toys require thorough care, so treat it nice. Website reviews on the Grapevine estimate this toy can last anywhere from about 1-3 years before the usual signs of wear show, and I suppose that depended on frequency of use. Me, knowing how well this purple people pleaser feels, I think I'll stock up on extras.

    Acuvibe Cordless

Acuvibe CordlessNaturally, a cordless, rechargeable version of Hitachi's Magic Wand is appealing. And, when you get right down to it, that's exactly what the Acuvibe delivers. I thought it might not be as powerful, but it holds its own quite nicely. Heavier than the Hitachi, though. Don't drop it on your foot!

    peace & passion,

    Strobe Probe

Have you ever bought something just because it was on sale? Well, I bought two of these jelly, rabbit-pearl vibes on a close-out sale over a year ago. If I recall correctly, the combined price barely tipped me into the free shipping range on Amazon. So, I guesstimate around $13 each. I could dig through my order history and find out exactly, but... well... who cares? The product's been discontinued, so it's not like anyone's gonna rush to buy one based on my stellar review.

No, the reason I'm posting is more due to the manufacturer (Doc Johnson) than the particular model, because I have buried many a rabbit-pearl by other manufacturers, but this one seems to be more durable. That may or may not carry over to other products by Doc Johnson.

Like I said, I bought two of these puppies. The second one is still in its box, unused & unopened. The first, however, has some serious mileage on it -- and it's still going strong. It's lasted four times as long as any other rabbit-pearl I've ever owned -- and I do believe I've been *ahem* harder on it than its predecessors.

Yeah, the strobe part is kinda funny, but I try not to think about my pussy glowing like my cheeks used to do when, as a kid, I'd stick a flashlight in my mouth.

    Until next time...

    Papillon

A Toys for Tarts guest review:

I had high hopes for this toy as I am always looking for something new for clit stimulation to spice things up a bit. Unfortunately, I ended up disappointed. The toy did not deliver to my expectations, and I gave it three runs to be sure.

Papillon feels smooth, and the little butterfly on the top is a nice feminine touch. The batteries slipped in easily, though the cap didn't cooperate without difficulty. There was no click to let you know if it shut properly. (I did not test it in water for this reason).

Papillon has a small button on the top which allows you to switch speeds with a quick tap of the finger. Low speed emits a nice vibration, and high speed revs it up a notch. It fits nicely in your hand and is lightweight. The sound is a bit louder than a bullet but not so loud that you have to worry about someone in another room hearing what you are up to.

My first use of the Papillon was pleasurable but not an earth-shattering experience. Low speed gave a pleasant buzz but failed to deliver more than slight arousal. High speed managed to kick things into gear, but it took longer to achieve climax than with my trusty bullet. Also, if you wish to reach maximum clitoral stimulation, it's likely your hand is going to get cramped and tired long before you ever get to the point of no return.

My second and third attempts with Papillon were frustrating and disappointing. Neither effort brought about climax after a sufficient amount of time, even when the toy was used on high speed.

If you are looking for a masturbatory toy to help you achieve a good orgasm, the Papillon is not for you. However, if you are simply searching for an aid in foreplay to help stimulate and arouse, then this toy would probably fulfill the need. Part of the proceeds of the sale of the Papillon do go to a worthy cause, the Living Beyond Breast Cancer organization, so if you wish to add a new toy for foreplay to your chest, do give this a try.
